HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR NEOPRENE LUNCH TOTE BAG

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR NEOPRENE LUNCH TOTE BAG
There’s a lot to love about a lunch tote made from neoprene, aka the wetsuit material. It gives exceptional protection, flexibility, and insulation. (If you ask us, it’s awfully fun to carry too!) But like everything great, it needs a little TLC to perform its very best. Here’s how to make sure your bag lives a long and happy life.

Wash it regularly
Regular washing with laundry detergent in cold water will prevent bacteria from building up inside and causing mold. If you use the tote on most weekdays, it’s best to wash it weekly. Please refer to the “Features” section of the product page or the inside of your tote to determine whether it’s machine washable or hand wash only. If it’s machine washable, use the delicate cycle for washing. Be sure to unzip the tote before you wash it and leave it unzipped until it has dried completely.

Air it out completely
Whether you are machine or hand washing, the tote should be unzipped and left out to drip-dry in a well-ventilated area afterward. It takes about 1-2 days for neoprene items to air-dry completely, depending on the climate you’re in. Do NOT put the bag in the dryer, as neoprene is not designed to withstand extreme levels of heat.

Clean up spills promptly
If you spill food or liquids in your tote, it’s important to wash it ASAP and air it out thoroughly to avoid mold issues. If you’re unable to wash it right away, unzip the tote and turn it inside out so that the interior is given an opportunity to dry out. You can keep it inside out until you wash it, then turn it right side out to let it drip dry.
